Drama Advanced F/S

This is a course designed with the experienced student in mind as public performance and play production is the primary focus of the class. Students will be expected to participate in the school productions and to attend afterschool rehearsals. Emphasis will be on characterization and script analysis as well as the technical aspects of play production including play selection/editing, publicity, marketing, and additional production related responsibilities. Continued study of voice, diction, and dialects as well as the exploration of a variety of acting styles will challenge students. In addition, students will expand their knowledge of theatre history and will be involved in the reading, analysis, and study of at least one classic play.
