Integrated World Geography Honors A/B

This is an accelerated, in-depth study of the world. The course will focus on the physical and cultural geography of the world as well as on significant events throughout world history. Students will be required to keep current on world events and to discuss them in class. Reading materials will include a textbook as well as primary sources. Assessments will be based on the district standards, and students will largely be assessed using the Six Traits format. While district standards will be employed for this course, students will go above, beyond, and in-depth for each area studied. This course is offered as a thematic, interdisciplinary class with Honors English 9. Students are required to take both courses simultaneously.
