Our State PARCC Assessments are coming up on April 12th & 15th, so if you want to bring your own earbuds to use during testing instead of using the District-provided headphones, please feel free to bring them to school on testing days. Also, if you have a graphing calculator that is a TI-84 or better, you may bring that to use on the "Calculator Section" of the math tests. If you do not have one, there will be one available to you in the Testing Environment that you can access though the test itself.
All 8th grade parents are invited, and highly encouraged, to attend our Registration Night event on Monday, February 8th at 6:00 pm in the Frederick High School Auditorium. Parents will receive support in selecting courses and learning about programs including CU Succeed, Advanced Placement, Honors, and our Project Lead the Way Bio Medical program. At the time of this event, your student will have already received information from our counselors and will have had conversations with you. Students will be prepared to log into Infinite Campus and formally select courses at this time.
At the 2014 State Thespian Convention, Carmen Legg and Aziza Gharib qualified to compete at the National Thespian Convention in the duet acting category. The Education Foundation sponsored the girls for the convention to make it easier for them to attend the event, which was held at The University of Nebraska. They received an accomplished rating at the competition, which is the highest rating possible. One judge gave them a perfect score! Congratulations to these talented actresses and best wishes on their next competition in December!
