Weather forecasts today look definitive for rain and thunderstorms, and to ensure the safety and comfort of our 2017 graduates and their guests, we will be hosting our graduation ceremony in our gymnasium. As space is more limited inside, every student has been given four tickets to distribute to family members or friends to have a guaranteed seat inside the main ceremony.
We are making final preparations for tomorrow’s graduation ceremony and are very excited to celebrate this significant milestone in the lives our students and their families. As we all know, the only thing that is consistent with spring weather in Colorado is its unpredictability. We are keeping an eye on the forecast and will notify families by 7:30 a.m.
As we move towards the end of another highly successful school year, it will be an honor to join our Board of Education, principals, parents, teachers and staff in recognizing the unwavering drive, strength of character and rigorous academic preparation that has propelled approximately 2,000 students to the day of their high school graduation.
In this era of credit cards, PayPal, online shopping, and sophisticated marketing, many parents feel challenged to instill a sense of financial responsibility in their teens.
However, it was not parents, teachers, administrators or school board members – but last year’s Student Advisory Council (SAC) which was the driving force behind the district’s new Financial Literacy requirement.

On April 11, 2017, all sophomores and juniors in Colorado will be taking the PSAT 10 and SAT at their home schools. The good news? It’s free! AND you don’t have to do a thing to register. But wait … there’s more! Millions of dollars in scholarships (yes, millions…) are tied to both assessments, so even if you’re not 100% sure about your after-high-school plans, still use this time to prepare just in case - they’re there anyways, might as well get the most you can out of it!
As the lights slowly dim and the curtain begins to open the cast knows, it’s show time. Students at Frederick High have spent the past few months practicing lines, building and painting sets, organizing costumes and mastering the precision of each dance step. On Thursday, November 3 you will feel the excitement, see the hours of preparation and watch in anticipation as the outstanding cast brings the stage to life in the fall musical, Beauty and the Beast.
