EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE To begin, I'd like to emphasize how much I love my job; I have truly found my niche working with the high school population! I adore my students' enthusiasm for learning and the comedy they bring to my life! This is my 14th year teaching, and my 6th year at FHS. I received my B.S. in Psychology in 2007, and my B.A. in Art Education with an emphasis in Sculpture in 2008, both from CSU. Next, I received my Masters degree in Educational Psychology from UNC in 2010, and my Masters degree in Art and Design from UNC in 2015. I read frequently for fun and to stay current on all things Art and Education, and I strive to remain active in my own personal artistic practice! OUT OF SCHOOL FUN Although the opportunity doesn't arise as often as I'd like, I do love to travel. I lived in Nicosia, Cyprus for a Summer studying Art History and Photography, and while I lived there I also briefly visited Cairo, Egypt; Rome and Naples, Italy; Athens Greece; and the Greek islands of Patmos, Tinos, Paros, and Rhodos. During the Summer of 2013, I was fortunate enough to visit Beijing, Xi'an, and Shanghai, China! Things I love to do include eating (I wish there was more food I didn't like...) reading, walking (*not running!*), and having Art Nights and Game Nights with my friends and family. Things that inspire my artwork include: All areas of Art History, Music, Cinema, Literature, Food, Flora, and Fauna!
