Dear FHS Warrior Families,

The staff at Frederick High School has been busy working all summer, preparing for an amazing school year. We are looking forward to some exciting new things at FHS this year.

Schedules will be available in Infinite Campus starting on August 10th. Students will see Advisory on their schedules for period 9. This is an exciting new program we are starting at FHS. The goal of this program is build in a weekly check-in. This will allow us to teach mini-lessons on expectations, provide academic support, complete goal setting, and college and career planning activities. This is a required class and all students are assigned an advisory class based on their grade level. The lessons will be differentiated based on the grade level of the students. More information will be shared at Back to School Night.

Back to School Night is scheduled for August 17th. 9th grade parents will start at 6:00pm with a parent meeting in the auditorium. This will provide a chance to meet staff, learn about new programs and answer questions. Freshman families will also pick up iPads, turn in paperwork, and have the opportunity for tours, connect with school organizations and more.

10th, 11th, and 12th Grade Back to School Night is also scheduled for August 17th. We will have a meeting in the auditorium from 7:00 – 7:30pm. During this meeting we will talk about changes to FHS, share our vision for moving our school to the next level as well as providing time to meet staff, turn in paperwork and connect with school organizations.

Check your mail. We are mailing home important paperwork. This paperwork must be completed by the parents/guardians and must be returned prior to students picking up their iPad. Any outstanding technology fees must be paid prior to picking up an iPad.

First day for Freshman is August 16th. The day will be filled with orientation activities, meeting teachers and setting up iPads.

All students will report on August 17th. We will run a modified 8 period day schedule.

August 18th, will be picture day and all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will receive their iPads on that day.

There will be a mandatory meeting for all parents of students interested in participating in athletics on August 18th at 6:00pm, followed by individual fall sports meetings at 6:30pm.
