EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

I started teaching in 2007, and have been at Frederick ever since. For the majority of my career I taught 9th grade World history/geography with some U.S. History and U.S. Government thrown in on occasion. I absolutely loved teaching those. A couple of years ago I switched gears to teaching Personal Financial Literacy. I am still learning how to best get the information across, but I have found that I LOVE teaching this content and it is SO important for our students to know.

OUT OF SCHOOL FUN

I am married with two kids, A son entering Kindergarten, and a daughter entering Third Grade. I also have an overactive galumpfy dog named Gus-Gus the Rescue Dog. He's clumsy and prone to weird accidents and injuries but we love the big baby. I enjoy art and am trying to create more of it using different media as I feel inspired. I also am a Bluey OBSESSED mom. It is my go-to feel good show in our household and when my kids start arguing we always go to our calm space or Bluey to refocus.
