EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

I received my BA (University of Hawaii- Manoa) and MA (San Diego State University) in Anthropology, and then taught college-level Anthropology courses in San Diego, CA for 7 years. I eventually decided to go back to school to get a secondary teaching license and settled on teaching English because I realized it would allow me to make the most of my Anthropology lessons. After moving to Colorado in 2020 and bouncing around a few school districts, I am very excited to have landed in Frederick!

  OUT OF SCHOOL FUN

I really enjoy traveling and visiting new places, so road trips with my wife (also a FHS English teacher!) are common during the summer. At home I love to take care of our many pets and plants, and relaxing in the back yard. I grew up playing ice hockey in the California Bay Area, so spend a lot of time watching hockey during the season. Go Sharks!
