I started my career as an English and Yearbook teacher and taught for nine years. I also coached a wide variety of sports, my favorite being my time as a head volleyball coach, but I also coached boys basketball, baseball, and girls golf. After teaching, I became an administrator first as the Dean of Students at Coal Ridge Middle School for a year, and have been at FHS as an Assistant Principal and then Principal starting in 2021. I feel incredible gratitude each and every day to work with such amazing students, staff, and our community.

OUT OF SCHOOL FUN 

Outside of school I enjoy being with my family. I am married to an amazing woman who is also an educator, and we have two children, Colton and Addie, who I am sure many of you know and can be spotted on the sidelines of football games and sweeping the floor during half-time of basketball games. I am a Buffs and a Broncos fan, as well as a big fan of Jokic and the Nuggets, Makar and the Avs, and a long suffering Rockie fan. I also love backpacking, hiking through the fall aspen trees, and painting.
